Hanso web clips

If you’re a Lost fan, then you need to take a look at this page on TV Squad.  The website HansoExposed has been showing little clips which explain a lot about the Hanso corp and the meaning of the numbers that show up all the time on the show.  Somebody took the time to piece them all together into a little video that is a very well spent six and half minutes if you watch Lost.  It will be interesting to see if any of this is shown on the show or not because this is one of the few times that I’ve found a tv show plot reveal that was a long time coming to be very interesting.

Tivo Series 3 is coming … really

After waiting … and waiting … and waiting some more, it looks like the series 3 tivo might be coming out soon.  There was this letter to the FCC that came out in July talking about the fact that testing was underway and a unit is out soon.  Yesterday, HDBeat had some pictures of the a series 3 unit in beta test.  After seeing the list of fall tv premiere dates, I can’t wait to get one of these when it comes out.

Venture Brothers on DVD

I saw today on TVSquad that Venture brothers is starting up again.  Venture brothers is a really funny satire on old animated shows like Johnny Quest.  Even if you’ve never seen anything that it is based on, the show is still hilarious.  (It’s kind of like watching Team America: World Police without ever having seen Thunderbirds.)  If you’re signed up for netflix (if you aren’t you should be), then here’s the page for season 1 so that you can add it to your queue.  Otherwise, there’s always cartoon network and tivo.

Did you see the Hanzo ad in Lost last night?

In case you missed it last night, you should go to www.sublymonal.com (I had forgotten all about it until I saw it on Monitor Duty today.)

Threshold bites the dust

This season was the start of 3 new scifi dramas: Invasion, Surface, and Threshold (alright, 4 if you count Supernatural, but it’s a little too WB for me to group it in with the other 3). I’ve been collecting episodes of all 3 on Tivo and my computer without watching any of them under the assumption that at least 1, probably 2, of the three would be cancelled after November sweeps and before February sweeps. It was announced last week that Threshold has been cancelled. Since there is no Joss Whedon involvement, I’m not expecting a Save Threshold campaign , and I’m going to be deleting the episodes from my Tivo. Just 1 more show to go.

Note: If you are wondering what will happen if all of them are cancelled before I start watching any them, the answer is watch more ST: Deep Space Nine on DVD.
