I was walking through Target looking through a few random items and I did my usual walk through the home entertainment section. Due to my wish to be up on the latest in pop culture, I find it interesting to see just what a store like Target is prominently displaying and what they are trying to sell on the cheap. During tonight’s walk, I happened upon Words & Music: John Mellencamp’s Greatest Hits. During the long bus rides to away games in high school (for me, basketball and track), someone was almost sure to pop in a John Mellencamp CD and play something like Hurts So Good or Jack And Diane. There is no way that anyone in his (or her) right mind can pass up a 37 song John Mellencamp collection if for no other reason than the fact that he once had a “Cougar” in his name.
