Today, I was writing some code in a jsp page where Eclipse wasn’t wanting to do any automatic completion for me, and I made a spelling mistake that caused about ten minutes of head scratching. This caused me to use the term pulling a scott.
Idiom:
pulling a Scott Informal
- To misspell something in your code. This can pertain either to a text in a comment or in actual code.

Don’t you think it should be broader than just in code? I would expand on it and add a definition.
* Pulling a Scott
1. To misspell something. This can pertain to either something written or something typed.
2. To do something brilliant, amazing, or unworldly.

In the spirit of the holidays, I see no problem with using that as the definition going forward.
